Centro de disputa: el cuidado y la disciplina de los hijos de migrantes

Resumen
La intención de este trabajo es, en primer lugar, analizar la forma en que las
emociones, como parte de un proceso cognitivo, se relacionan con una serie de
situaciones difíciles en la vida de jóvenes y mujeres del Área Metropolitana de
Monterrey (ÁMM) y del municipio rural de Zaragoza, Nuevo León, cuyos padres o
esposos radican en Estados Unidos (EU). En segundo, saber cómo influyen estas
emociones en su vida diaria. El tercer punto se propone conocer cómo la valoración
de las mismas les permite construir y reconstruir una perspectiva de realidad y,
finalmente, enfrentar los momentos difíciles en sus vidas ante la ausencia del padre
o la madre. Concluimos con algunos apuntes sobre el tipo de intervención que
trabajo social debe desarrollar para atender a este grupo social.
